Weight Loss For 2016 – Week One

This blog is about my 2016 journey into finally losing my weight.  You can follow along with me on my YouTube channel Januine.  Just click the link here: Januine and it will take you there.  Today’s video is on my Weight Loss.  I will be fessing up that I didn’t do too well this week.  It has been a hectic but productive week but I had to let some of the things I needed to do go by the wayside.  I will be posting a video on Weight Loss every Monday.  If you want to be notified when I upload a new video then go over to my YouTube channel and subscribe.  Just hit that subscribe button.

It is probably one of the hardest things that most people attempt to do.  But to help you I have put together a week menu for this week of January 11 to 17, 2016.  You can download this by clicking the image.  You can also download the Tamale Pie recipe and the Oven Fried Chicken that I will be using for dinner.  I am using a book called American Diabetes Month of Meals Planner.  It’s a pretty simple menu.  I tried to keep it easy with fairly simple ingredients.  There are some repetitive meals but I find this easier and I don’t mind it at all.  Each meal has the calorie total shown in parenthesis.  I have also included the day’s total of calories at the bottom.  Also provided is a space to keep track of the 8oz servings of water consumed during the day.  They say you should drink at least eight 8oz servings of water a day.  Feel free to download this if you want to give it a try.  I will be posting weekly menus on Friday evenings from now on so you will have time to put together your shopping lists for the week.weekmenu011116I also encourage you to do some type of exercise each day.  You don’t have to sweat yourself silly.  But get up and move.  If it’s walking or working out, just move.
