Lately I’ve been thinking about where I want my planner habit to go. I have used paper planners for years. Specifically, the Me and My Big Ideas Happy Planner. It’s what I’m using now. But I have been led astray into using a digital planner also. There are many advantages and disadvantages to using each. So, let’s go over some of them.
Paper Planner
- I like being able to use some of the amazing stickers and inserts that you can find. Not just the great Happy Planner sticker books.
- There is an abundance of choices on sites like Etsy.
- There are also several good inserts on there as well. But then there is the additional cost of all these extras as well.
Digital Planner
I use mine on my I Pad. It does take awhile to get use to using it.
- But you can do the same things (with a little more work) as you can with the paper planner.
- The biggest advantage is saving the trees by not using a paper planner. Something I do think about.
- Also, it takes up much less room as everything is on the I Pad.
I recently discovered using Keynote app along with Goodnotes app to create my own digital planner. It is currently still in the works but I am getting closer. I hope to design a digital planner that I can offer in Etsy later this year. This process has a huge learning curve.
